Orchard Upgrades
The Orchard is one of the 3 primary gadgets and its fruit gives the keeper a temporary speed and mining buff. The fruit regrows every 1.5 game cycles.
Fruit
The fruit grants the player's keeper a temporary buff. By default, the fruit takes 1.5 cycles to grow and lasts 0.35 cycles. Consuming the fruit grants an additional 30 speed to the keeper and 0.30 mining strength. The duration and effects can be upgraded via upgrades.
Active Battle Abilities
The Orchard has 2 active battle abilities you can unlock. They are mutually exclusive, meaning that you can only select one of the abilities.
Projectile Shield
Grows a few branches on the dome, protecting it from incoming projectiles (including rocks from worms but NOT divers).
Branches, that aren't destroyed during battle, stay after the wave ends and can be used for the next wave. This does not discard the ability use for the wave, meaning the shields can be redeployed again.
Shield strength and layer count can be upgraded.
Snare Roots
Grows a few roots outside the dome on the ground. Monsters, classified as "medium" sized (stated on the monster page), can get trapped in them.
Roots, that aren't used during battle, stay after the wave ends. Those roots do not affect the amount of roots spawned upon activating the ability again.
Root count and trap duration can be upgraded.
Overcharge
As all primary gadgets, the Orchard can be overcharged with 1 water . Overcharging grants the shield additional health and longer duration of the battle abilities via upgrades.
In order to overcharge, the player must have at least 1 water and be close enough to the Orchard. Pressing the interact keybind(default is Space) will overcharge the Orchard for 0.8 cycles. A visual change to the animation will indicate that.
